About

We all have experiences that sometimes tie us up and make dealing with daily life more difficult than it needs to be. This is a place where you will find an empathetic listener who has a strong desire to help you attain freedom from those invisible chains. It’s for this reason that I went into counseling — earned a Master’s degree and EMDR certification and taken many, many hours of continuing education — so that I can share it with you and help you find the joy you long for. A bit about me — anxiety has been a companion through the years, and yet with tools and practice, it no longer plagues me and there is a sufficient measure of peace within. Faith for me has always been a help and guide, but I realize we are not all on the same path. Know that I will never try to convince you to leave your spiritual beliefs. Instead, I will aim to see how they might help you with the life issues you are facing. I’ve worked through eating disordered thinking and the affects of a dysfunctional family, been married for 32 years — some as a military spouse and even more as an Eastern Orthodox Christian priest’s wife, moved a million times, have two healthy married adult children who still text, and am a firm believer that what we live through and learn from gives us love and understanding for others. This, to me, is the whole point of life.
